(SportsNetwork. Jay Hilgenberg Jersey .com) - A small part of Ryan Miller has to be glad he isnt in Buffalo to endure what has become an epic losing streak by the Sabres. Miller, though, cant worry about his former teammates on Friday night as his Vancouver Canucks try to get their offense going in a matchup at home against the Sabres. The 34-year-old Miller is expected to face the Sabres for the first time since getting traded to the St. Louis Blues from Buffalo on Feb. 28, 2014. In 10- plus seasons with the Sabres after they took him in the fifth round of the 1999 draft, Miller went 284-186-57 with a 2.60 goals against average, .916 save percentage and 28 shutouts over 540 games. His victories are the most in franchise history and he picked up a Vezina Trophy award in 2009-10. A pending free agent last season, the Canucks dealt Miller to the Blues and he had a chance to face Buffalo in St. Louis on April 3, but opted not to play. He will finally square off against the Sabres tonight and admitted that it is going to be a strange contest. Part of hockey is having fun competing against your friends, former teammates, colleagues, so I look forward to these opportunities, Miller added. The Michigan-born goaltender signed with the Canucks this past offseason and has gone 23-11-1 with a 2.33 GAA and .917 save percentage in 35 starts. His five shutouts also are tied for the second most in the NHL. In part because of Millers play, the Canucks are tied for third in the Pacific Division with Calgary but also only one point ahead of fifth-place Los Angeles. Coming off a 3-2-0 road trip, Vancouver was shut out at home for a second straight contest with Tuesdays 4-0 loss to the Anaheim Ducks. Miller yielded three goals on 23 shots in his clubs second loss in a row overall. When were playing catch-up were playing a different game than we want to, Canucks forward Radim Vrbata said. Vancouver hasnt scored a goal at home for 176 minutes, 21 seconds as it was also blanked by Calgary 1-0 on Jan. 10. Tonight is the second contest of a six-game residency. The Canucks recent scoring issues are no where never the level of the Sabres current issues as they come in having lost a franchise-record 13 straight overall. Each setback has come in regulation, including last nights 3-2 loss in Edmonton. Buffalo hasnt won since a Dec. 27 home victory over the New York Islanders and is last in the NHL with 31 points, four fewer than Edmonton. Its frustrating not to get the results when you put in the hard work. I know a lot of those guys on that team are proud and they work hard, said Miller on Thursday. Jhonas Enroth stopped 31 of the 34 shots he faced last night, with defenseman Tyler Myers and Rasmus Ristolainen both scoring and captain Brian Gionta picking up two assists. We had our chances, Buffalo coach Ted Nolan said. Buffalo has lost the first three of a five-game road trip and is 0-12-1 as the visiting club since a victory at Montreal on Nov. 29. Neither Enroth or current backup Matt Hackett has ever faced the Canucks, who won both of their meetings with the Sabres last season and are 6-1-0 with a tie in the past eight encounters at home. Cody Whitehair Jersey . Huntington doesnt want to help run the club unless Hurdle is in the dugout. The combination thats returned the franchise to respectability will remain intact for years to come. Johnny Morris Jersey . Defenceman Tessa Bonhomme was among three players released from the team Tuesday morning along with defenceman Brigette Lacquette of Waterhen, Man. http://www.custombearsjersey.com/custom-patrick-scales-jersey-large-2836t.html . Reyes, 26, was traded from Atlanta to Toronto in July 2010 and spent the remainder of the season in the minors. He began 2011 in the majors and made 20 starts with the Blue Jays, going 5-8 with a 5.40 earned run average before he was waived on Aug.MILWAUKEE -- As last-second, game-winning 3-pointers go, this one wasnt the prettiest. But it got the job done, and thats the only thing that mattered to Mike Dunleavy and the Chicago Bulls. At this point, the Bulls will take whatever offence they can get. Dunleavy banked in a three-pointer with 5.8 seconds left and Joakim Noah came up with a block on the other end, leading the Bulls to a 91-90 comeback victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. Dunleavy said he had to change the angle of his shot to avoid the reach of his defender, 6-foot-11 forward John Henson. "Hes so long so if I would have shot my normal shot, he might have got a piece of it," Dunleavy said. "So basically what Im saying is, I took a bad shot and it went in." Trailing by two in the final seconds, Chicago came up with a tie-up on the defensive end and won the jump ball, allowing Dunleavy to hit a high-arching 3 that banged off the glass, then in, for the lead. Noah then blocked O.J. Mayos shot to preserve the lead -- and a victory that appeared unlikely just seconds before. "You could see his rhythm coming offensively," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said of Noah. "Defensively, hes been terrific from the start of the season but offensively, you can see his timing is back." Noah scored 21 points and grabbed 18 rebounds -- both season highs -- for the Bulls, who ended a three-game losing streak. Chicago scored fewer than 80 points in all three of those losses -- including one to Milwaukee in Chicago on Tuesday. Jimmy Butler scored 16 points in his return from injury for Chicago. "I felt all right," Butler said. "Rusty. Out of shape. Terrible. But Im glad my guys pulled this win out." Carlos Boozer scored 14 points and added 12 rebounds. Gary Neal scored 17 points and Henson added 15 for the Bucks, who appeared to have the game won when Khris Middleton hit a desperation shot with 29.8 seconds left. Instead, it was another disappointment. "It wasnt even really supposed to get to that point, but we made some mistakes, critical mistakes, and thats what happens," Henson said. And to make matters worse for the Bucks,, a crowd filled with travelling Bulls fans made it sound like a home game at times for Chicago -- especially at the end, when Dunleavys shot set off a thunderous ovation. Mitchell Trubisky Jersey. . Thats not a new phenomenon when the Bulls visit Milwaukee -- but to Henson, it is somewhat annoying. "A little bit, man," Henson said. "But, hey, theyre an hour away. It was a Bulls crowd." Milwaukee went on a 12-4 run to take an 11-point lead with 7:37 remaining. The Bulls chipped away at the lead, but Henson passed to a wide-open Ekpe Udoh on the baseline and Udoh delivered an emphatic dunk for an 88-83 lead with 1:30 left. Mayo then fouled Dunleavy on a three-point attempt, and Dunleavy hit all three free throws to cut the lead to two. After a Milwaukee miss, Boozer made a game-tying jumper with 54.9 seconds left. Middleton then hit a desperation shot with the clock running out, giving Milwaukee a two-point lead. Butler was called for travelling on the other end and the game appeared to be all but over -- but it was only setting the stage for Dunleavys big moment. "He hit a tough shot," Bucks coach Larry Drew said. "It wasnt an easy shot. It was a contested shot. But Ill say it again: It should not have come down it (that). We were in position where we should have closed that game out." While Derrick Roses season-ending knee injury has garnered the most attention, it hasnt been the only critical injury for Chicago this season. Butler missed 11 games because of a toe injury and the Bulls are still without Luol Deng, who remains sidelined with a sore left Achilles. Chicago added some depth earlier in the day Friday, signing free agent guard D.J. Augustin. Augustin was scoreless in 11-plus minutes in his Bulls debut. NOTES: Drew said guard/forward Carlos Delfino will have surgery on his right foot in his native Argentina on Saturday. There is no timeline for his return. . Larry Sanders has been fitted with a protective glove and cleared to resume some basketball activities, but there is no timeline for his return from a thumb injury. ... Thibodeau said Deng is feeling better and could be available for Saturdays game. ' ' '
